Admission is based on individual clinical needs, overseen by Board Certified psychiatrists, Medical Doctors, licensed Mental Health Counselors and licensed Social Workers. A multi-disciplinary treatment team works with each adult and family to deliver a wide array of behavioral health services.

Our treatment philosophy is a comprehensive approach that includes education, prevention, intervention, risk reduction, relapse prevention and the right level of care for each individual. This ensures that you and your family receive all the services needed to create a healthy and sustainable recovery. Our goal is to assist you and your family to improve your quality of life to become aware, responsible, happy and healthy!

The CHS Outpatient Treatment Program provides integrative psychotherapeutic services for adults in need of outpatient substance abuse treatment. The Program offers comprehensive, confidential counseling services for individuals by incorporating evidence based treatment approaches which include individual and group counseling, family counseling, psycho-education, life skills, experiential therapy, relapse prevention, and formal referrals to community agencies based on individual needs.

The Medication Assisted Treatment Program provides comprehensive medical and behavioral health counseling care for adults and adolescents addicted to substances on an outpatient basis. In addition to group, individual, and family counseling, the program uses medications to assist in recovery. Suboxone, Vivitrol and other opiate replacement medications are used to support the needs of program clients. Clients in the program primarily struggle with opiate and/or alcohol addiction. Medication, with intensive counseling helps to increase the likelihood of establishing recovery and a responsible, healthy lifestyle. Psychiatric services are available to clients struggling with additional mental health concerns, such as depression and anxiety. Psychiatric services are provided on an as needed basis along with services to treat addiction, utilizing medications supportive of recovery. This allows for issues like anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions to be addressed safely and successfully while treating the addiction.

The primary goal of the Case Management program is to optimize the functioning of individuals and maximize their self-sufficiency. The purpose of Case Management services is to create strategies to reduce or eliminate the tendency to foster dependency among individuals with a mental illness. The Case Manager assists individuals with complex needs by coordinating the provision of quality treatment and support services. Support services are based on each specific individual and their particular treatment needs. Treatment needs are identified through an intake and assessment period and are developed jointly by the individual and their Case Manager. A service plan is developed which outlines how these needs will be addressed.

The goal of the Concept Health Systems HIV Counseling and Testing Program is to reduce the incidence of HIV infection in our community and to improve the quality of life for persons who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Services are designed to address the factors associated with the risk or progression of HIV infection. CHS provides confidential HIV & STD testing; mental health counseling; community referrals; comprehensive education sessions; and substance abuse assessment and counseling. In addition, CHS also provides assistance in locating housing and other support services for those individuals infected with HIV/AIDS and are experiencing a threat of homelessness or are already homeless.

Screenings are used for the early identification of individuals at potentially high risk for a specific condition or disorder. Most screenings are used for the basis for further evaluation, preliminary intervention or a possible referral to a specific program or service. They are generally brief and narrow in scope and can be administered as part of a routine clinical visit.

Assessments provide a more complete clinical picture of an individual, is comprehensive in focusing on the individual’s functioning across multiple domains, can aid diagnosis and/or treatment planning in a culturally competent manner and can identify psychological problems and conditions, indicate their severity, and provide treatment recommendations.

CHS uses a number of screenings and assessments that are reliable, can be validated and will direct the patient or client to the most appropriate treatment program or behavioral health service that meets their needs and/or the needs of their families. The following is a list of the screenings and assessment instruments used by CHS professionals:

-KIS – Knight Software Screening and Assessment
-ASI – Addiction Severity Index and individual/family narratives
-ADAD – Adolescent Drug Abuse Diagnosis
-ASAM – American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria used to determine level of care needed
-Mental Status Exam and Psychiatric Evaluations when needed
-Medical Exam to determine the medical necessity for treatment and other services
